John Wick: Chapter 4 Raises the Bar for Action Filmmaking

John Wick: Chapter 4 is a movie that delivers stunning action, humor, and character development while moving the story forward from the previous film.

The movie is directed by Chad Stahelski and stars Keanu Reeves as John Wick, the title assassin who is being hunted by the High Table crime organization.

John takes the fight to the High Table and sets off a chain of events that endangers his allies, including Winston and Charon.

The High Table sends two deadly adversaries after John: The Tracker and Caine, an old friend of John's who has been forced back into their employ.

The film takes John from New York City to locations such as Jordan, Berlin, Osaka, and Paris, featuring captivating fight/chase sequences that are as humorous as they are stylized.

Donnie Yen gives a standout performance as Caine, a conflicted and world-weary character who projects deep sadness and fierce devotion to protecting those he loves.

While the length of the film may slow the pace at times, it gives the characters and filmmakers a chance to add more texture to the strange and surreal world of John Wick.
